What is an energy retrofit remodel? We take an analysis of the house to find weak spots in the assembly: Energy, thermal, air, and vapor. Then we come up with a recommendation to bring the house to a standard that far exceeds building code and energy star recommendations. Main goal in mind is to have a building that will last for generations, be healthy to live in, and reduce energy consummation. We look at:
- Average monthly utility cost
- Condition of cladding/windows
- Measure air leakage.
- FLIR for thermal losses.
- Building mechanical systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing)
The recommendation comes with an estimate to preform all work needed and a list of potential savings.
